NCTA Human Resources Professional of Year for 2017

Melissa Nishan, Epes Transport's VP of Driver Recruiting, was recently named by the North Carolina Trucking Association (NCTA) Safety & Human Resources Council as Human Resources Professional of Year for 2017.

Melissa has been in the trucking business for over 22 years and with Epes Transport LLC for 18 years serving in customer service, logistics, and leading the charge for the driver recruitment department. She has served on countless NCTA panels, participated in best practice groups and is considered one the industry's "go to" experts in the area of driver recruiting and retention.

Melissa is an avid supporter with Wreaths Across America, where she volunteers for the events in Washington DC and Arlington National Cemetery. She continues to look for innovative ways to encourage younger generations to engage and enter the trucking industry.
