How are Drivers Rewarded for Trucking Safety?
EPES Transport System, Inc. rewards our drivers for trucking safety with quarterly bonuses as a token of our appreciation. Let’s face it; we all know the road can get rough sometimes. Everything from heavy traffic to inclement weather can really put your training to the test—especially when hauling a heavy load. Britt Colley, president of EPES Carriers, appreciates the efforts of the company’s drivers. “As a result of your commitment our highways are the safest they have ever been,” he said. “As a company we owe a great deal to you for our success. Thanks to you the professional driver, as well as your families who support you while you are on the road.” It’s for those drivers, whose skill is proved time and time again when they make their scheduled deliveries without incident, that we offer quarterly safety bonuses. The official policy states: Full-time OTR drivers that are not involved in a preventable/chargeable accident and no injuries resulting in lost time from work are eligible for the .01˘ per mile Safety Bonus paid quarterly. Drivers must be currently employed on pay-out-date to receive bonus. Local, hourly and part-time drivers are not eligible. Teams split bonus. Driver recognition is an important part of the culture when you work for EPES. We care about our employees and strive to demonstrate this not only in our awards for trucking safety, but also in our highly regarded benefits package and state-of-the-art equipment.
